Pastor Joel Sutton received his B.A. from Wheaton College in Speech Communications and Christian Education, and his Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary. Prior to coming to First Free Church he had been a student ministries pastor in both California and Minnesota. He is married to Becky and they have two children, Hope and Jacob.

Pastor Sutton joined the First Free Church staff in 2002.
