Beth received her Bachelor of Science in Education from St. Cloud State University, along with a Social Studies Middle School License and a Coaching License. She taught 2nd and 3rd graders for 6 years and coached volleyball at Minnehaha Academy, a private Christian school in Minneapolis. Her first teaching job was in Glencoe, close to her home town of Arlington, Minnesota. She is married to Doug and has two children, Aaron and Annika.

Beth joined the First Free Church Staff in August 2004.
