News & Notes

The rose on the organ this morning is for Ella Clare Holliday who was born to Johanna and Troy Holliday. She joined her brothers and sisters on September 4th at 4:01 p.m. Congratulations Hollidays!

Prayer Week is this week, September 7-14. Sign up at the Welcome Center to pray wherever you wish. 15-minute slots are available. Let's fill the entire week!

Grow in Faith at Women's Neighborhood Bible Study. New study begins on Wednesday, September 10th at First Free Church: 9:30 - 11:00 am. This fall we will continue our study in the book of Genesis. Invite a friend to join us! Free children's program for infants - 5 yrs old.

Youth Group and Creekside Clubs start September 17th at 6:30 PM.

The Caring Commission invites all adults to an encore "Fall Gathering" Friday, September 19 at 7:00PM. We had a great time last year learning folk and square dances with a live caller. A fun way to connect with familiar friends and meet new ones. So, put on your denim and bring a treat to share.

Are you getting ready for 40 Days of Community? It is all starting on Sunday, Sept. 21. Don't wait. Start praying and join an ABF and pick up your 40 Days Devotional book next week. (Suggested donation: $5).

Seniors Singles September lunch will be September 21st at 1:00 at the Lakeshore Grill Restaurant, (Macy's Lower Level).

There will be a bridal shower for Melissa Wray at First Free on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 3-5 p.m. All women and girls from First Free are invited. Please come and help us celebrate with Melissa! They are registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Melissa and Aaron Rusnak will be married on October 4, 2008.
