News & Notes
Thomas Gold has been in full time ministry nine years working
with students and adults. His current title is Teaching Pastor at
Friendship Church in Prior Lake and Shakopee Minnesota. He recently
celebrated being married for 10 years to his wife Janice and has three
wonderful children. Thomas' deepest pastoral passion is for people
to know Christ so stunningly that they have hope and joy in Him in all
phases and circumstances of life.
Dental Mission Trip to Peru: Our church team is making final
preparations to leave on August 14 for the dental mission trip to
Peru. Please pray for this outreach. You can also support the trip by
donating adult and child toothbrushes to be handed out at their
clinics. There will be a collection box in the church foyer for this
purpose. Muchas Gracias!
Interested in Baptism? Our Annual Lake Baptism & Church
Picnic is coming up on Sunday, August 10, at Lake Nokomis. If you are
interested in being baptized, contact the church office at (612)
827-4705 or mark your Welcome Card.
Host a New Arrival from China: New students from China are
arriving in late July - August to study at the U of MN. They need a

are interested, contact Bob & Joanne Kraftson with China Outreach
at (651) 437-6806 or 303-7683.
Picnic in the Park: The 17th annual Picnic in the
Park will be located at Pearl Park on Thursday, July 31, from
5:30-8:30 pm. First Free will have a booth again this year. Come for
food, entertainment, activities, and to meet your neighbors.
First Free Blood Drive: Our church is having its
first blood drive in over 10 years! Please save the date of Wednesday,
August 13, from 3:30-6:30 pm and plan to participate. Anyone 16 years
