News & Notes

Congratulations to Todd & Jodi Stebleton! They are the proud parents of Loic Marshall Stebleton born on April 24.

Graduation Open House: You are invited to a high school graduation open house for Jim Goodman on Sunday, June 8, from 2-6 pm at the Goodmans (17394 Isleton Ave, Lakeville).

Our next Fresh Encounter Praise & Prayer Time is TONIGHT at 6:00 PM in Room #105. Child care provided thru grade 6.

Pray for Pastor Joel as he takes study time (May 19-23) to plan and prepare sermons for the coming year. Pray for Pastor Eric as he will be preaching on May 25.

Register Your Kids for Power Lab Vacation Bible Camp! Sign up at the Creekside Canteen in the gym during fellowship time or in the foyer after the second service. Register today and get Pop Rocks candy!

Volunteers Needed for Power Lab VBC: We need at least 100 volunteers to help lead kids, watch kids in the nursery, etc. It's so much fun . . . and easy! Sign up at the Creekside Canteen or contact Beth Brown.

Donations Needed for Power Lab VBC: Please check out the Donation Station in the gym and pick an item or two where you can donate. There are lots of things (mainly food items) needed to serve 150 children! Donations can be put outside Beth Brown's office (Room 201B).

City Life Center is a ministry which supports women who are in crisis pregnancies and which First Free helps support. There will be a basket in the foyer today through June 1 for collecting baby supplies to be used for this ministry. Please see the bulletin insert for suggested items. Thank you!

EFCA TouchGlobal is partnering with the Evangelical Free Church of Myanmar to help meet the serious needs of the cyclone survivors. We have established a Myanmar Relief Fund and are accepting donations. Please send your checks to: The Myanmar Disaster Relief Fund #21709-3989, 901 E 78th St, Minneapolis, MN 55420 or see www.efca.org/apps/giving.

Welcome Force: We have been so blessed by your smiling faces and warm hearts, and we want to thank you for serving! Come for lunch on Sunday, June 8, at 12:15 PM in Room #105.

A Thought From God's Word:
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [Ephesians 6:11-13]
