What we’re all about:
Our goal is to help children get anchored to Jesus & for them to share Him with their friends. At First free we love to partner with parents to help kids grow in Jesus.
Preschoolers Need Teachers this Summer!
Our preschool teachers, who have faithfully taught this past school year, receive a break in the summer. We are asking all preschool parents (and others!) to sign up to teach 1 or 2 Sundays this summer. The curriculum is fun and easy!
July and August:
One service. K-5 kids stay with family in the service.
There is nursery and preschool during every Sunday morning service (except Worship at the Falls on July 23). All preschool-5th grade children are promoted up to their new classes in September (except 6th graders, who should get connected with the youth group in the summer!)
Sunday schedule (September-May)
Nursery & Preschool: 9:15-12:15 p.m.
Creekside Bible Time (Gr. K-6): 9:15-10:30 a.m.
Creekside Kids Time (Gr. K-6): 11:30-12:15 p.m.*
*Kids are dismissed during the 2nd worship gathering.
Creekside Nursery: Infants to Age 2
Available all Sunday morning
Children up to age 2 are cared for in a loving & safe environment during the entire Sunday morning. There are 4 fabulous nursery coordinators who oversee our nursery rooms & volunteer caregivers who are regularly assigned to the rooms. Parents need to stop by the Nursery/Preschool check-in table to register new children, pick up a pager, and receive wristband nametags for their children. Children with allergies or special requests or given red wristbands.
A Mother’s Room is also available as a quiet place for babies to sleep or to be fed.
Creekside Preschool: Ages 2-5
AVAILABLE ALL SUNDAY MORNING
Kids are put into groups based on their age at the start of the school year in September. If your child has a birthday during the school year, they will stay in the same group until the next fall.
Preschoolers engage in Bible stories, crafts, and play time. There are consistent teachers who use the HeartShaper curriculum by Standard Publishing while they get to know and love the children! They rotate monthly and transition between the two worship gatherings. The children are encouraged to stay in their classrooms the entire morning and snacks are given at the end of the first hour. Children with allergies or special requests or given red wristbands. Preschoolers need to be checked in at the Nursery/Preschool check-in table where they will receive a wristband nametag they’re required to wear and parents will receive a pager.
Creekside Bible Time: Grades K-6
During the first service, 9:15 to 10:30 a.m
The students* meet in individual grade levels for “Bible Time” where they will have 1 or 2 consistent teachers who teach from the Discipleland curriculum. This is a time of building relationships with peers while establishing a firm foundation of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus!
K-4 parents must pick up their children at 10:30. 5-6th graders are dismissed on their own to go to fellowship time.
*K-4th graders go directly to Base Camp at 9:15 before going to their classrooms.
Creekside Kids Time: Grades K-6
DURING THE 2ND SERVICE, 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM.
K-6th graders join their families in the 11:00 worship gathering and then they are dismissed at 11:30am for K-3 Kids Time and 4-6 Kids Time. K-3rd graders gather for a large group lesson & then in small groups where they’ll have consistent adult or teen leaders. Parents need to pick up these children at the end of the hour. 4th-6th graders meet for a large group lesson where they explore topics from God’s word. This older group is dismissed at the end of the hour.
Wednesday Clubs: Grades 1-6 (September-May)
Creekside Clubs provides a wonderful place for 1st-6th graders to come & have fun & to bring friends! Girls Rock 13 is for girls in grades 1-3 and Girls Rock 46 is for girls in grades 4-6. They meet separately for a time of Bible lessons, crafts, activities, treats, and gym time! TreeClimbers is for 1st & 2nd grade boys and their dads are strongly encouraged, but not required, to come, too! Stockade is for 3rd-6th grade boys. The boys experience BIble lessons, gym time, snacks, and crafts.
Each Girls Rock group has 4 consistent female leaders.
TreeClimbers & Stockade boys have over 12 male leaders who consistently lead them!
Vacation Bible Camp
Thank you to all our volunteers for making VBC 2017 such a fun experience for the kids! Over 300 kids came to Maker Fun Factory and learned about how God created them for a purpose.
